What is a Community Builder?
A Community Builder Donor is more than just an affordable housing supporter; they’re a foundation builder. With a monthly commitment of just $12, these visionary individuals are laying the groundwork for a transformative project that will bring 12 affordable rental units to La Porte County, Karwick Villages. A project that will transform affordable housing in our community and be a shining beacon of what the community can do together to positively change lives in our community.
So, why $12? It’s not just a number—it’s a symbol. Each $12 donation represents one of the 12 affordable rental units at Karwick Village that will transform the lives of those in our community who will rely on this affordable housing. It’s also a nod to the 12 months of the year, reminding us that affordable housing is a year-round necessity.
Our goal is ambitious but achievable. If 20 people commit to $12 a month for a year, we can break ground at Karwick Village and grow our organization to continue this forward progress at a steady and continuous rate.
