Prosperity Indiana is a statewide membership organization for individuals and organizations working to strengthen Indiana communities. It was founded in 1986 and has grown to more than 200 members from the public, private, and nonprofit sectors. Prosperity Indiana seeks ways to fund members’ work, build and retain relationships, and address local and national issues that impact the capacity and potential of member organizations to deliver services and lead change in their communities. They are critical advocates for housing in Indiana, and their advocacy helped garner support to stop an anti-homeless bill recently up for debate in the Indiana House. In 2025, they will be sponsoring a Grassroots Housing Summit and hosting the Prosperity Indiana Summit in Indianapolis.

AHAIN serves as a members’ association for participants in the affordable housing profession in Indiana. They focus on advocacy, collaboration, and education to further the mission to progress affordable housing in Indiana. Housing4Hoosiers is a renter resource program run by Prosperity Indiana that was created to promote educational information about tenant/landlord rights and responsibilities in Indiana. They provide free information to Indiana renters and landlords on their rights and responsibilities.

National Low-Income Housing Coalition:

The National Low Income Housing Coalition is dedicated to achieving socially equitable public policy that ensures low-income people have quality homes that are accessible and affordable in communities of their choice. The organization was founded in 1974 by Cushing N. Dolbeare and the organization educates, organizes, and advocates to ensure decent, affordable housing for everyone. Their goal is to preserve existing federally assisted homes and housing resources, expand the supply of low-income housing, and establish housing stability as the primary purpose of federal low-income housing policy.
